Location
Arugam Bay is situated in the Southeast coast of Sri Lanka. This is one of the dry zones in the country. And, the shelter of coconut palms along the beach is soothing and you will not get tired. The area was earlier (during the civil war) famous for fishing. Now it is most famous for tourism. Arugam Bay is most famous as a surfing spot in Sri Lanka’s coastal tourism. It serves as an international surf competition location also. If you are not a champion in surfing, don’t worry.
